On the morning of May 4, 2019, Wuxi CC&TSPM in Jiangsu Province organized a youth ministry exchange activity entitled “Stay Passionate for a Hundred Years, Share Weal and Woe Together for Seventy Years” in Wuxi International Church.
Around 200 young Christians from nearly 10 churches and church-affiliated fellowships in Wuxi participated in the activity.
The exchange activity began with the speech delivered by Rev. Yan Zheng, chairman of Wuxi TSPM.
Rev. Yan Zheng pointed out that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, every young Christian as a Chinese citizen is expected to remember the history that the Chinese had strived for and struggled over the past seventy years, and conscientiously learn and carry forward the spirit of May 4th Movement.
Moreover, as citizens of the kingdom of God, young people should follow the example of Christ and forge ahead.
In response to a few questions and reflection raised during the exchange, Elder Chen Chunjuan, chairman of Wuxi Huishan TSPM answered them in her conclusion speech.
She encouraged young Christians to seek for personalized pastoral patterns in accordance with different background and situation, and endeavor to serve as the backbone of the church so as to make the church in Wuxi more healthy and prosperous.
