This year a traditional Chinese festival called the Chongyang Festival (or Double Ninth Festival), known as the event that pays respects to the elderly, fell on October 7, 2019.

Churches across the country held thanksgiving services on October 6, and organized respect-for-the-aged activities on the day of the Chongyang Festival, showing care for senior believers via gift-giving as well as many other forms.
