On the morning of August 2, 2025, Shaanxi CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at the Main Church in Jingyang County, Xianyang City. Rev. Wang Jun, chairperson and president of Shaanxi CC&TSPM, officiated the ceremony, during which three pastors and 12 elders were ordained. Nearly 300 people attended to witness this liturgy.
Prior to the ordination ceremony, Rev. Wang Jun offered words of exhortation to the ordinands, encouraging them to act as guardians of truth, role models of moral behavior, and exemplary leaders of the flock, who embody the life of Christ to glorify God and benefit people.
The ceremony began with a solemn prelude. Rev. Zheng Qianjin, vice chairperson, vice president, and secretary general of Xianyang CC&TSPM, delivered a sermon titled “Imitate Christ as a Faithful Servant”, exhorting the soon-to-be pastors and elders to always have the same mindset as Jesus Christ, follow in the steps of Christ, glorify God and benefit people.
The ordination council performed the laying on of hands for all 15 fellow workers. Wei Xi (female), Zhang Qiujuan (female), and Wu Lina (female) were ordained as pastors; twelve were ordained as elders, including Li Ning (female), Li Hongfang (female), Li Yanlin (female), Li Jianghong (female), Li Yafei, Qiao Xiaoping, Tao Yali (female), Song Qunling (female), Zhu Jian’ai (female), Liu Xiangni (female), Ju Maifang (female), and Li Yahong (female).
Rev. Wang Qingwen, representing Xianyang CC&TSPM and the Yangling Church, welcomed and accepted these new pastors and elders. Rev. Wang encouraged them to hold fast to the truth, proclaim the gospel, live by faith and righteousness, remain devout and selfless, and shepherd the flock of Christ.
On behalf of the newly-ordained, Rev. Wei Xi made a speech. The ordination ceremony concluded with the benediction given by Rev. Zhang Qiujuan.
