From September 11th to 12th, 2017, Elder. Fu Xianwei along with Rev. Yu Wenliang from Yunnan Christian Council &TSPMvisited the Bible Training Center and attended the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Drug Rehab. Center in Baoshan, Yunnan Province.

At 5pm on Sep. 11th, Elder. Fu Xianwei and his colleagues arrived at the Bible Training Center in enthusiastic applause. Students from 16 national training centers sang hyms to visitors. After listening to the training center’s introduction, Elder. Fu Xianwei fully affirmed the idea of the center’s education, which is to strengthen communication between ethnic groups while conducting biblical education. The center also encourages to use Mandarin teaching among multi-ethnic students, and encourages students could be more religious in their beliefs and have greater academic achievement, so that they can live better and have more positive energy to build our country.

On the morning of Sep. 12, Elder. Fu Xianwei and his colleagues participated the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Center, which also known as the “Rebirth Park”. It was established in 2007 and is the first legally-registered private drug rehabilitation agency with Christian background. It is committed to the drug rehabilitation and to helping drug abusers return to normal life through Christian beliefs.

Elder. Fu Xianwei expressed his congratulations at the celebration. He also thanked  the government leaders who supported the construction of Baoshan Church. Elder. Fu pointed out that CCC&TSPM workers responded positively to the government’s call for “promoting the active role of religious and believers in social and economic development ”. we are actively engaging in social services, and have achieved remarkable results in many social service areas.” Helping a drug abuser is helping a family, which means participating in drug rehabilitation is reducing the burden of our country and society”. Baoshan Drug Rehab. Center fully embodies the Christian philosophy of “people-oriented”, which is an important way for us to practice the Christian faith and a concrete expression of promoting Christian morality. It is also an important part of church ministry. We hoped that the Center can continuously improve its own capabilities so that drug abusers can benefit from it and return to society.◆
