How should a Christian behave?
2019-07-05
(a) Since he has been called by God, his behavior should be in accord with his calling, with the Gospel of Christ, and with a penitent heart (cf. Ephesians 4:1; Philippians 1:27; Acts 26:20). (b) Whatever you do, do it to the glory of God (I Corinthians 10:31). Lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in your knowledge of Him (cf. Colossians 1:10). He who called us is holy, so we must be holy in all our conduct (cf. I Peter 1:15). (c) We at one time were in darkness, but now we are in the light as the Lord’s people, so we are to live as children of the light (cf. Ephesians 5:8). We are to act honestly, rejecting the deeds of darkness as those who walk in the day (cf.I Corinthians 13:7; Romans 13:12-13).

How can one distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad?
2019-07-04
The Bible teaches us that when the love of Christian love increases along with knowledge and discernment, we shall be able to distinguish between right and wrong.  We are also to build ourselves up in the faith, and become “skilled in the word of righteousness”, so that our hearts “may be trained to distinguish between good and evil” (cf. Philippians 1:9-10; Jude 20; Hebrews 5:13-14).

We are also to build ourselves up in the faith, and become “skilled in the word of righteousness”, so that our hearts “may be trained to distinguish between good and evil” (cf. Philippians 1:9-10; Jude 20; Hebrews 5:13-14).

Can a Christian only be concerned about worshipping God, and not be concerned about justice on earth?
2019-07-03
He should do both. Our Lord loves righteousness and hates wickedness (cf. Psalm 45:7).  He wants us to do justly and love mercy (cf. Micah 6:8). The Pharisees earned Jesus rebuke because they were “hypocrites”, who tithed mint and dill and cumin, but neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy and faith (cf. Matthew 23:23).  The Bible also tells us that God hates the prayers, the offerings, and the worship of the unrighteous (cf. Isaiah 1:10-15).

What kind of person can enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
2019-07-02
The Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). And so, if a man does not repent and become like a little child, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven (cf. Matthew 18:3).  He also said, Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father in heaven (cf. Matthew 7:21-27).  The Bible also says, the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God, so do not deceive yourselves (I Corinthians 6:9-10).

What warnings does the Bible gives concerning the sin of unchastity?
2019-07-01
(a) The body does not exist for unchastity, but for the Lord (cf. I Corinthians 6:13). Every man is to gain mastery over his body, and not give way to lust (cf. I Thessalonians 4:3-5). (b) Avoid immorality (cf. I Corinthians 6:18), for God’s judgment will fall on fornicators and adulterers (cf. Hebrews 13:4). (c) Whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart (cf. Matthew 5:27-28). (d) Fornication, indecency and avarice must not even be mentioned among you, as befits the people of God. Obscene, foolish and flippant talk are all out of place (cf. Ephesians 5:3-4). (e) Those who take part in fornication, indecency, or avaricious greed have no share in the kingdom of Christ and of God (cf. Ephesians 5:5).

What does the Bible teach about wealth?
2019-06-28
(a) Honest work and labor should be rewarded. The Bible says: For the laborer deserves his wages (Luke 10:7). If anyone will not work, let him not eat (II Thessalonians 3:10). (b) What the Bible calls “greed” is fundamentally different from proper income. Greed denotes benefiting oneself at others’ expense, to be intent only on profit, and to use every type of improper means to obtain that profit for one’s self thus the Bible admonishes us: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, or his ox or his ass or anything that is your neighbor’s” (Exodus 20:17); “Not greedy for gain” (I Timothy 3:3, 8). Proper income indicates that accumulated through honest and upright labor and it is a blessing from God (cf. Deuteronomy 28:2-6). (c) The Bible clearly censures oppression and exploitation (cf. Amos 2:6-7, 6:3-7, 8:4-10; James 5:1-4); it opposes exorbitant interest and bribes (Exodus 23:8; Psalm 15:5). (d) We should also view all types of proper income as something entrusted to us by God (cf. Luke 19:11-13), and should neither squander nor hoard it: but should follow God’s will in its use, giving willingly to aid others (cf. Acts 20:33-35; Galatians 6:10) and willingly make offerings (cf. Exodus 35:4; II Corinthians 9:6-8).

Ephesians 4:15, 25). Let your yes mean yes, and your no mean no (Matthew 5:37), do not bear false witness, and do not join with others in spreading false rumors (cf. Exodus 20:16, 23:1). (c) Do not indulge in double talk (cf. I Timothy 3:8) or in slander (cf. Titus 2:3); do not speak evil of others (cf. Titus 3:2), or pronounce judgment on them (cf. Matthew 7:1). (d) Your speech should always be gracious (Colossians 4:6). (e) Your words and deeds should always be in harmony, unlike those of the Pharisees, who spoke but did not act (cf. Matthew 23:1-4).

How should Christians get along with other people?
2019-06-21
In dealing with others, believers must always seek to do good (cf. I Thessalonians 5:15), behaving blamelessly, doing what is right, speaking the truth, not indulging in slander, nor following others in slandering a neighbor, nor doing evil to his friends (cf. Psalm 15:1-3).  Love is to be genuine, with deep mutual affection, each outdoing the other in modesty.  Bless and do not curse, rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Do not give yourself airs or think yourself clever. As far as possible do your best to live peaceably with everyone (cf. Romans 12:9-18).
