On April 11, 2019, there was an enrollment exam for School of Church Music in Fujian Theological Seminary. 41 candidates from all parts of Fujian Province sat for the exam.

Teachers of Church Music assessed the candidates in the aspects of piano skills, vocals, visual and audio capabilities, etc. Additionally, there was a test on music theory and Christianity knowledge, followed with a psychological test and an interview.

Christianity is a religion of music and church music is an indispensible part of church services.
