On the afternoon of December 2, 2022, Shanghai CC held an ordination ceremony in Huai’en Church in Jing’an District, Shanghai. An assembly of nearly 200 people came to witness this holy event, consisting of clergy, church members, brothers and sisters from churches in Shanghai.

During the ordination, Rev. Geng Weizhong, president of Shanghai CC, did the questioning of the four candidates in front of the congregation, and the ordination team performed the laying on of hands for them.

Wu Libin (female) and Wang Jun were ordained as pastors; Wu Xiafang (female) and Sun Ming were ordained as elders. All the newly-ordained were bestowed with stoles and Bibles. The ordination was ended with the benediction given by a new pastor. Later, believers sent flowers to these new pastors and elders as congratulation gifts.

After the ceremony, there was a welcome symposium for the newly-ordained clergy, attended by Rev. Geng Weizhong, staff members of district CC&TSPMs, the new clergy, etc. Rev. Zhang Aili, secretary general of Shanghai CC&TSPM moderated the meeting.
