Sixteen New Ministers Ordained in Hangzhou

On January 18, 2025, Zhejiang CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at the Changming Church, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City. Fourteen fellow workers were ordained as pastors and two were ordained as elders. More than 200 people, including all staff members of Yuhang CC&TSPM and leaders of CC&TSPMs in several local districts and counties, as well as believers, attended to witness this holy moment.


Prior to the ordination ceremony, Rev. Zhang Zhongcheng, chairperson of Hangzhou TSPM, and Rev. Zhang Yaofa, president of Zhejiang CC and Hangzhou CC, gave exhortations to the 16 ordinands. During the ceremony, Rev. Huang Mingke, executive vice chairperson of Hangzhou TSPM, led the prayer. The holy choir of Changming Church sang Learning to Become a Good Shepherd.



Rev. Zhang Zhongcheng read Ephesians 4:11-16. Rev. Zhang Yaguo, vice president and general secretary of Hangzhou CC, preached a sermon titled A Daunting Journey to Take. Rev. Ding Shengguo, vice chairperson of Hangzhou TSPM, and chairperson and president of Yuhang District CC&TSPM, introduced the background of the 16 fellow workers. Rev. Zhang Yaofa conducted the ordination vows. Rev. Liao Dajun then led the prayer for the ordinands.


Officiated by Rev. Zhang Yaofa, the ordination group performed the laying on of hands for the 16 fellow workers, conferring stoles, minister ordination certificates and Bibles upon them. The 16 new ministers also received flowers and gifts from their church members, families and friends. The congregation sang Work, for the Night is Comingtogether, with their hearts being touched by grace and joyfulness. Finally, the new pastor Rev. Liu Yanmin concluded the ordination ceremony with a benediction.



The 14 new pastors included Wang Bingkang, Liang Haiyong, Wang Zhenzhi (female), Hu Lingjie, Jin Dong, Ma Enfang (female), Si Xuefei (female), Dong Yongmei (female), Fang Tianen, Ke Haiyan (female), Zhong Pingai (female), Liu Yanmin, Wei Shouli, and Chen Wenzhang.


The two new elders were Weng Renpeng and Zhou Yune (female).
