On the morning of August 25, 2024, an ordination ceremony and Sunday service with the theme of the Chinanization of Christianity were conducted at the Shanwei Church in Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. Five fellow workers were ordained as elders, including Huang Chunmiao, Yang Yihan, Li Yan (female), Lin Chunxiang (female) and Wu Xiufen (female). The event was hosted by Guangdong CC&TSPM and was attended by approximately 400 pastoral staff, church committee members, believers and guests.

Rev. Huang Xiaobo officiated the Sunday service. Rev. Guo Yun gave a sermon titled “Keep Watch Over Yourself and All the Flock”. Rev. Guo encouraged all to love country and church, to honor God and to benefit the people as the light and salt on the earth. Rev. Guo exhorted the five new elders to imitate Christ’s humility, and show prudence in words and actions for themselves and the church alike. It is also necessary to act as exemplary role models for the congregation and serve the Lord’s church with faithfulness and goodness.

Following the sermon, Rev. Guo Yun presided over the ordination ceremony. Rev. Peng Chengpei introduced the five ordinands to the congregation and offered words of exhortation. Rev. Huang Xiaobo presented stoles and commemorative bibles to the five new elders. The ordination group and church members extended their warm congratulations. Elder Liyan gave thanks on behalf of the newly ordained  and Elder Yang Yihan gave a benediction.
