On February 20, 2025, Shandong Theological Seminary held the opening ceremony for the 2025 spring semester in the chapel. Rev. Dong Meiqin, director of Shandong TSPM, and president of the seminary, addressed the ceremony and delivered a speech. Rev. Gao Ming, president of Shandong CC, along with the seminary’s administrative team and all faculty and students participated in the ceremony. Rev. Huang Fengxiang, dean of Academic Affairs, presided over the event.

Rev. Dong Meiqin noted that the seminary made remarkable progress in teaching, research, discussions and practices, which was closely tied to the efforts of all faculty and students in teaching and academic evaluations. For the new semester, she encouraged everyone to cultivate a positive outlook on nation, history and life, elevate their thinking and practical skills, value moral cultivation and code of conduct, and engage in their studies with fervent and ambitious minds.

After Vice President Rev. Wang Mengkun led the prayer, Rev. Li Hongyu gave a report on the seminary’s academic work. Rev. Xia Lingjun, chaplain of the seminary, preached a sermon titled “Pursuing Spiritual Growth”. The academic team awarded certificates and prizes to students who received the “Excellent Class Leader Award”, “Five-Good Student Award”, “Martha Prize”, “Maria Prize”, and scholarships for the last semester.
