From July 16 to 17, 2026, Northeast Theological Seminary conducted an entrance examination for applicants to its undergraduate, undergraduate transfer, and secondary-level programs. 

A total of 204 candidates sat for the examinations, marking a steady increase over previous years. On July 18, the seminary organized a grading panel to mark the examination papers.

The interview panel, composed of members of Liaoning CC&TSPM and faculty members of the seminary, assessed candidates on their spiritul foundation, overall competence, and oral expression. 

Questions on traditional Chinese culture were also included to evaluate the candidates’ understanding of the Chinanization of Christianity and their willingness to putting its principles into practice.

Following the same format as in previous years, the written examination consisted of two sections. The first tested candidates’ knowledge of Christianity, including core doctrines and basic church knowledge. 

The second was a comprehensive humanities examination, covering politics, Chinese language, history, and English, to assess the candidates’ general academic competence for theological studies.
