On the morning of March 3, 2026, Northeast Theological Seminary held the opening ceremony for the 2026 spring semester and a service for the Women’s Prayer Day of the Church in China. All faculty members and students gathered to open the new semester in a solemn and reverent atmosphere.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Rev. Wang Jingli. The seminary choir presented the hymn “Glorious Calling”, in a melodious singing encouraging everyone to respond to God’s calling and bear witness to Christ in their daily lives of faith.

With Genesis 2:7 as the key Scripture, Rev. Jin Xuezhe preached a sermon titled “A Living Being with the Spirit”. Centered on the biblical narrative of creation, Rev. Jin urged all faculty members and students to live out the breath of life given by God and become living stones with a sense of mission and testimony under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

During the subsequent Women’s Prayer Day service, Rev. Yu Mei, Rev. Chen Xianjun, and Rev. Zhu Lili offered prayers for the nation, the world, the church, and the witness of Christian women, reflecting the faithful commitment of women in the church of China.
