From May 10 to 13, 2026, at the invitation of the United Bible Societies (UBS), Rev. Wu Wei, President of CCC, and Rev. Geng Weizhong, Residential Vice President of CCC, attended the celebration of the 80th anniversary of UBS in Jakarta, Indonisia. They also visited the Indonesian Bible Society and Jakarta Theological Seminary. Bringing together 321 participants from 137 countries and regions, this grand event received widespread international attention.

On May 11, Rev. Wu Wei and Rev. Geng Weizhong held talks with the leadership of UBS. By participating in sharing sessions hosted by various regional Bible Societies, the CCC leaders gained first-hand insights into global Bible ministries.

During these sessions, Rev. Wu and Rev. Geng also shared the practical implementation of Bible ministries within the Church in China.

At the celebration banquet held that evening, Rev. Wu Wei, on behalf of the Church in China, extended congratulations on the 80th anniversary of UBS, speaking highly of the organization’s work and contributions over the past eight decades, while expressing good wishes for their future development. Rev. Wu then presented the UBS with a Chinese Pinyin Bible.

This visit further consolidated the friendly ties between the Church in China and the UBS. The delegation also availed themselves of this opportunity to introduce the Bible ministries in China and the practical experience of the Chinanization of Christianity, garnering support and affirmation from the attendees.
