Autumn is a season of poetry and fruitfulness as well as beautiful gifts from God. With gentle breeze blowing and maple leaves turning red, the freshmen walked into Nanjing Union Theological Seminary with devotional hearts.

At 18:30, 19th October, 2018, the Evening Party for freshmen with the theme 'We Jinling people--Devotion to God, Perfect in Beauty' by Jinling Joyous Choir. With video clips about life in Jinling, the hosts made a brilliant appearance before the party officially started.

The party was in three chapters. Chapter One was with the theme 'Respond to the Call of God, and Be as a Good Soldier'. It began with a vigorous dance called 'Alive', displaying the vitality of the good soldier of Jesus Christ; a talk-show named 'We Are on the Road' expressed the message that good soldiers should bear in mind the importance of following Jesus as the role model even when they were entering through the narrow gate. The cross-talk 'In the Name of Love' clarified the kind of love that good solders should have.

Chapter Two then started with a sacred play called 'Stories in Jinling', which delivered the message that they would like to treasure in mind all valuable time they had in Jinling, and try their best to seize the moment. Through the dance 'You Helped Me' we could see that God never ceased his help and support to us. Then followed an exciting program called 'Miracle, Jinling', which told the audience the fact that with the Almighty arm from God, each of people from Jinling was a miracle of life and had a miraculous life. The hymn 'We Walk on This Road Together' let the audience feel the beauty of the faith.

The last chapter was 'Honesty reins the life and Devotion to God'. The mime 'New Return' helped rebuild the strength of faith; 'Devotion to You' was a funny play to reflect each of those who regained his faith. Meanwhile, two talented students used calligraphy to express their determination of sparing no effort to serve God. At last, students from different ethnic groups used their dialects to glorify God with the hymn 'Praise to our Maker'.

May every student pursue a hard-working life in Jinling! Jinling is fully devoted to you and becomes beautiful because of you!
