On September 2, 2024, Guangdong Union Theological Seminary held the opening ceremony and revival meeting for the first semester of school year 2024-2025.

Citing 1 Timothy 6:11, Rev. Xu Jieping, President of the seminary, exhorted students to build life upon truth in pursuit of justice, piety, faith, love, patience and gentleness.

Rev. Fan Hong’en, Chairperson of Guangdong TSPM, encouraged all to love one another and bear witness to Christ. On behalf of Guangdong CC&TSPM, As Teacher's Day would come soon, Rev. Guo Yun, President of Guangdong CC, gave holiday greetings to all faculty members of the seminary.

Following the opening convocation ceremony, a revival meeting for the new semester took place. Rev. Li Jianxiang, the former senior pastor of Longdu Church of Zhongshan City, gave two sermons respectively themed on “Beyond Mediocrity -- Growth in Serving” and “Being One with God”.
