Students kneeled down around lighted candles laid out in the shape of a cross, and prayed devotedly. They meditated on the Lord Jesus’s obedience to the will of Father God and that Jesus willingly carried the cross and sacrificed himself on the cross for the salvation of the world.

Students expressed their willingness to take the Lord as role model and take up their crosses to follow the Lord. Prayer meetings varied from class to class. Students sang, prayed loudly or shed tears silently.

By attending the meditation and prayer meeting, students took more time to meditate on the Lord Jesus’s crucifixion on the cross in Passion Week, realizing that the grace of Christ is priceless and the cross is the symbol of salvation, and the hope of glory.
