On the morning of October 26, 2023, CCC&TSPM received a three-person delegation from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Rev. Shen Xuebin, Residential Vice President of CCC, warmly received the guests and held a meeting with them. The meeting was centered on exchanging and sharing church pastoral care, social services and other ministries.

Rev. Shen recalled the friendly interactions between the two sides and gave thanks to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for its continued concerns and support for the church ministries in China. Rev. Gary Lundstrom, International Vice President of the Samaritans Purse, conveyed the greetings from Rev. Franklin Graham. He expressed the deep love for China and the expectation of gaining more chance to cooperate with the churches in China, so as to deepen mutual friendship.

There were also a discussion on the challenges and changes facing the churches in the two countries during the outbreak of the Covid-19. Both sides also shared the updates on their church development. Given the successful experience of the 2nd China-USA Protestant Church Leaders Forum held jointly in Shanghai in 2013, they all anticipated future reciprocal visits that could help increase mutual understanding and cooperation. We pray for each other. We take practical actions to build a harmonious relationship between the churches in both China and US. We work together to make Christianity a positive force for social development.

After the meeting, the delegation also visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Grace Telling Bookshop.

Founded in 1950, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association was initiated by American evangelist Rev. Billy Graham. As an influential association both at home and abroad, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has maintained a long-standing partnership with the Church in China and respects the Three-Self Principles upheld by the Church in China.
