On the afternoon of April 24, 2024, Rev. Hanns Hoerschelmann, Executive Director of Mission One World, and his three colleagues visited CCC&TSPM. Rev. Wu Wei, President of CCC, Rev. Dr. Lin Manhong, Vice President and General Secretary of CCC, and other staff warmly received the delegation.

Rev. Wu first welcomed the guests and gave an overview of the basic situation of the Church in China, the Three-Self Principles, and the ongoing Chinanisation of Christianity.

Prof. Andreas Nehring, Chair of the Board of Directors of One World Mission, expressed the gratitude for the reception of CCC&TSPM. He briefed on the background of One World Mission and shared the post-pandemic challenges facing the churches, such as a declining church attendance. Prof. Nehring also expressed his wish to deepen future interaction and cooperation with the Church in China.

The visitors also asked questions about the basic status of the Church in China, i.e. the number of Christians population and seminary syllabus, etc. Rev. Wu Wei and Rev. Lin Manhong responded with facts.

The delegation also visited Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Grace Telling Bookshop. Mr. Wang Baocheng, Associate Deputy Director of Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM, Ms. Gu Jingqin, the interim chief of Overseas Relations Department, and other staff attended the reception.
