From October 9 to 13, 2024, which was around Chongyang Festival, churches and church-affiliated fellowships in Beijing held a series of thanksgiving events to honor senior people.

The Chongyang Festival themed thanksgiving services took place at the Gangwashi Church, Chaoyang Church, Tongzhou Church, Qiandaying Church, Nankou Church, Mentougou Church, Mount Shijing Old City Church-Affiliated Fellowship, Miyun Central Church-Affiliated Fellowship.

During the services, ministers shared the message from the Scripture, exhorting young Christians to actively practice biblical teachings and carry forward the traditional Chinese virtues of respecting, honoring, loving and helping the elderly, while encouraging senior Christians to give thanks in all circumstances and live godly lives.

Churches and church-affiliated fellowships also provided elderly people with heartwarming services such as hair-cutting and blood pressure testing.
