From October 6 to 10, 2026, at the invitation of the Foundation for Theological Education in Asia and the Pacific (FTEAP), Rev. Lin Manhong, Residential Vice President and General Secretary of CCC, and Rev. Chen Yuexin, Vice President of Beijing CC and Executive Vice President of Yanjing Theological Seminary, attended FTEAP’s Board of Governors Meeting in Chicago, the US.

During the meeting, Rev. Lin delivered a presentation on theological education in the Church in China and shared the latest developments in faculty training, textbook compilation, the Chinanization of Christianity, and the development of theological institutions.

Rev. Lin also addressed questions on the achievements and challenges of the Chinanization of Christianity, the implementation of theological curriculum in Chinese theological institutions, and domestic and overseas doctoral training. Her presentation was well received by the participants.

Ms. Patti Talbot, Chair of the Executive Committee, mentioned that the past four decades have seen remarkable progress in the Church in China. She was particularly impressed by the increasingly younger church leadership, as well as the younger leadership and faculty of theological institutions in China.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
