On the morning of June 18, 2026, an eleven-member delegation from the Lutheran Theological Seminary (LTS) in Hong Kong visited CCC&TSPM. Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Chairperson of National TSPM, and Rev. Dr. Lin Manhong, Vice President and General Secretary of CCC received the delegation.
Rev. Dr. Lin Manhong chaired the meeting and welcomed the delegation. Rev. Xu Xiaohong then reviewed the history of cooperation and friendly interactions between the two sides. Rev. Xu emphasized that the contextualization of Christianity is a natural process in the spread of the Christian faith. The fundamental purpose of the Chinanization of Christianity is to uphold Christ and faithfully proclaim the Gospel.
Later, Rev. Xu introduced the development of the Church in the mainland of China, the practices related to the Chinanization of Christianity, as well as the developments in theological education.
On behalf of the LTS and the delegation, Rev. Dr. Tsang, Ho-Yin Kenneth, President of the seminary, thanked CCC&TSPM for its thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality. Rev. Dr. Tsang gave an overview of LTS, while commending the institutional development of the churches in the mainland, the outcomes of the Chinanization of Christianity, and the systematic development of theological education. Rev. Dr. Tsang also expressed the willingness to deepen future cooperation in theological education and pastoral exchange.
The two sides also discussed a wide range of topics, such as the annotated edition of the CUV, church governance, and pastoral challenges.
