On September 21, 2025, a thirteen-member delegation, led by Rev. Mathew Punnoose, General Secretary of the Bible Society of Malaysia, and Dr. Bernard Low Bun Leong, Co-Director of the China Partnership of the United Bible Societies, visited CCC&TSPM. Rev. Shan Weixiang, Residential Vice Chairperson of National TSPM, Rev. Geng Weizhong, Residential Vice President of CCC, and other colleagues received the delegation.

Rev. Shan Weixiang welcomed the delegation from the Bible Society of Malaysia, recalling the deep friendship between the two sides over the years and expressing gratitude for their support of the Bible ministry in China. Rev. Shan then provided an overview of the Church in China, highlighting the ongoing efforts in the Chinanization of Christianity and the comprehensive and strict self-governance of the church. Rev. Geng Weizhong introduced the Bible ministry of the Church in China.

Rev. Mathew Punnoose gave an introduction to the national conditions, the churches, and the Bible Society of Malaysia. He mentioned the multi-ethnic and multi-religious context of the country, stressing the importance of harmonious coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups. He stated that the Bible Society of Malaysia values its friendship with the Church in China and looks forward to more opportunities for exchange and cooperation in the future Bible ministry.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Ms. Gu Jingqin, the interim chief of CCC&TSPM’s Overseas Relations Department, participated in this reception.
