On November 15, 2025, a delegation from CCC&TSPM, led by Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Chairperson of National TSPM, was invited to attend the Hong Kong Forum for Further Contextualization of Religions. The forum was attended by over a hundred participants.
In the keynote speech, Rev. Xu Xiaohong introduced the history and ongoing efforts of the contextualization of Christianity in mainland China. Focusing on the theme of this forum -- “Respect, Recognition, and Peace and Development”, Rev. Xu emphasized that the contextualization of religions entailed respect for national laws and regulations, the core socialist values, the excellent traditional Chinese culture, the advanced socialist culture, as well as mutual respect among different religions and between the religious and non-religious. Religions in China should identify with Chinese culture, the state, the nation, and society, contributing to peace and development in China and the world.
Speakers at the forum included Rev. Wang Jun, Vice President of CCC, and Chairperson & President of Shaanxi CC&TSPM, and Rev. Dong Meiqin, Deputy Secretary General of National TSPM, Director of Shandong TSPM, and President of Shandong Theological Seminary. Rev. Luo Yingfu, Deputy General Secretary of CCC and Director of Guizhou TSPM, also attended this forum.
During their stay in Hong Kong, Rev. Xu Xiaohong and other delegates visited the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union, the Hong Kong Christian Council, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, and the Hong Kong Bible Society. The exchanges focused on recent developments and ministry work of the churches in both the mainland of China and Hong Kong. Both sides expressed a willingness to strengthen future connections and cooperation among the churches.
