Shanghai CC&TSPM consists of the Shanghai Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Church in China and the Shanghai Christian Council. 

History

In the summer of 1950, the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Church in China was launched in Shanghai.

On March 17, 1955, the Preparatory Committee of the Shanghai Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Church in China was founded.

From April 25 to 29 that year, the First Representative Conference of Christians in Shanghai took place, during which the Shanghai Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Church in China was officially inaugurated.

In August 1981, the Shanghai Christian Council was established at the Fourth Representative Conference of Christians in Shanghai.
