On the morning of May 21, 2019, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of National TSPM, and Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president and general secretary of China Christian Council (CCC) received a three-person delegation led by Rev Dr. Ngoei Foong Nghian, principal of Trinity Theological College, Singapore.
Rev. Xu Xiaohong extended warm welcome to the guests and briefed them on the situation of CCC&TSPM as well as recent focal points of work.
Rev. Xu noted that CCC&TSPM has formulated new plans on talent cultivation, including offering more chances for talents to go abroad for further study. He also expected to have further cooperation with Trinity Theological College.
Rev. Shan Weixiang gave thanks to Trinity Theological College for the assistance in cultivating talents for the church in China. Since 1993, the church in China has been sending students to study and pursue higher degrees in Trinity Theological College, Singapore. Rev. Shan also introduced the media ministries of CCC&TSPM to the guests.
Rev Dr. Ngoei Foong Nghian appreciated the warm reception from CCC&TSPM, and he said that he was glad to see Trinity Theological College maintaining a good partnership with the church in China.
Rev. Dr. Ngoei Foong Nghian admired the rapid growth of the church in China, especially in terms of its social service ministries, which offers experiences for other churches. He hoped that there would have more exchanges and cooperation between Trinity Theological College and CCC&TSPM.
After the meeting, the two sides exchanged gifts and took group photos.
