On the afternoon of December 10, 2024, a delegation of six from the World Federation of Chinese Methodist Churches (WFCMC) visited CCC&TSPM. Rev. Dr. Lin Manhong, Vice President and General Secretary of CCC, Rev. Geng Weizhong, Residential Vice President of CCC, and other colleagues warmly received the guests.
Rev. Dr. Lin first welcomed the delegation, and then introduced the basic status of the Church in China, especially emphasizing the Chinanization of Christianity, talent training, church governance by law and regulations, etc.
Rev. Dr. Gregory Goh Nai Lat, Chair of the WFCMC and President of the Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Singapore, extended gratitude to the warm reception. He stressed that we all are the followers of the Lord, though living in countries with different national conditions. This visit was expected to be the opportunity of enhancing mutual friendship and interaction.
Rev. Geng shared the outcomes of CCC&TSPM’s media ministry, showcasing the efforts of the Church in China in terms of publication, distribution, and dissemination of messages.
General Secretary Rev. Dr. Su Chii Ann gave an overview of the WFCMC, whose history could be traced back to 1987.
Afterwards, Rev. Dr. Lau Hui Ming, President of the Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia, Rev. Lam Chun, President of the Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Hong Kong, Rev. Hwong Kuan Yu, Bishop of the Methodist Church in the Republic of China, and Rev. Dr. Hii Kong Hock, President of the Sabah Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia, shared the basic details of the Methodist Church in their countries and regions.
After the meeting, all attendees took group photos.
