From May 22 to 24, 2019, Yunnan Theological Seminary held an enrollment exam for 2019 junior college class in Caiyun Church. 

76 students of 8 ethnic minorities from 13 prefectures or cities, in Yunnan attended the examination. 92 percent of the candidates came from seven ethnic minorities, namely Miao, Lisu, Yi, Jingpo, Bai, Laku and Nu. The examination consisted of paper test, interview and physical examination.

From May 24 to 25, 2019, Shandong Theological Seminary began its enrollment examination of this year. There were over a hundred candidates this year.

During this time, each of the candidates received warm welcome from theological students and faculty in the seminary. The examination upheld the principles of fairness, justice and openness.

From May 24 to 25, 2019, East China Theological Seminary organized a Holy Music enrollment exam, which was held every other year. Nearly 80 candidates from 19 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country sat for the exam.

The exam consisted of paper test and interview. The paper test, on the first day, involved general knowledge of Christianity, Chinese, audition, and musical knowledge. On the second day, the interview included vocal music test, stave sight-singing, piano test, other musical instruments and general interview on faith.

Since 2011, School of Holy Music in East China Theological Seminary began recruiting theological students from churches across the country every two years. The four-year program of Holy Music was then introduced in 2015.
