Yunnan CC&TSPM Organizes Cultural Exchanges among Christian Ethnic Minorities

To proactively explore and carry forward the path towards the indigenization and contextualization of Christianity in China with Yunnan characteristics, enhance the cultural exchanges among different ethnic groups in the Christian community, and advance talent cultivation, Yunnan CC&TSPM organized cultural exchanges among Christian ethnic minorities in Kunming on October 20, 2020.


Associate Secretary General of Yunnan TSPM Rev. Luo Shuyin hosted the opening ceremony. President of Yunnan CC Rev. Jing Jiuwei made a speech with a title of “Strengthen Ethnic Solidarity, Promote the Indigenization and Contextualization of Christianity in China, Support Poverty Alleviation, and Safeguard Border Security”.

The exchange involved lectures on “Practical Pathways to the Indigenization and Contextualization of Christianity”, “Team Construction”, “Serving in the Holy Ministries”, “Word Ministries”, “Guidance for Bible Reading”, “The Use of Breath in Preaching”, “Tea Ceremony and the Word of God”, etc.


This cultural exchange lasted three days. Attendees included 50 pastoral staff of ethnic minorities like Miao, Yi, Lahu, Wa, Lisu and Jingpo from Kunming City, Qujing City, Nujiang Prefecture, Pu’er City, Dehong Prefecture, Lincang City, etc.
