From June 22 to 23, 2026, Zhongnan Theological Seminary held a commissioning service and commencement for the Undergraduate Class of 2026 in the seminary auditorium. A total of 29 graduates completed their studies and embarked on a new journey of serving the church and the community.
Rev. Zhao Qiufen, Vice President of the seminary, officiated at the commissioning service. The congregation sang “Now Thank We All Our God” as an expression of gratitude and commitment to God. Rev. Wu Huifang, Chaplain of the seminary, delivered a sermon titled “Called, Sent”, encouraging the graduates to embrace God’s calling, overcome fear, and fulfill their pastoral ministry.
Following biblical tradition, Rev. Li Li, Vice President of the seminary, questioned the graduates. They then knelt at the altar, receiving the laying on of hands, as pastors offered blessings and placed a cross around each graduate’s neck.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Chen Xiyi delivered a speech, reflecting on their years of study and remembering the care and guidance they had received.
Rev. Zhu Zhiguo, Chairperson of Hubei TSPM and President of the seminary, awarded certificates and presented books to all graduates on behalf of the seminary.
The graduates presented a sketch titled “The Hands of Prayer” to the seminary as a gift and made a love offering. They also gave flowers to their teachers in gratitude for their instruction and care.
