On the morning of October 13, the 2023 UBS World Assembly opened as scheduled. There were 420 participants from 148 countries and regions. During the assembly, Rev. Wu Wei had conversations with leaders of the UBS and its member societies in the Netherlands, France, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Pakistan, etc.

Rev. Wu Wei also met with Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, who showed interest in the development of the Church in China and the willingness to visit China.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Church in China has postponed visits to European churches and seminaries for three years. Invited by Gunnar Mägi, President of the Tyndale Theological Seminary and coordinated by the Co-Director of the UBS China Partnership, a CCC&TSPM delegation led by Rev. Wu Wei visited the seminary. Rev. Wu shared with the teachers and students of the Tyndale Theological Seminary the history, current situation, characteristics and current challenges of the Church in China.
