On the morning of December 7, 2023, Rev. Wu Wei, President of CCC, and Rev. Shen Xuebin, Residential Vice President of CCC, received evangelist Andrew Palau, and other guests from the Luis Palau Association. The two sides reviewed years-long friendship and exchanged their main ministries. Rev. Shen Xuebin moderated the meeting.

On behalf of CCC&TSPM, Rev. Wu Wei extended sincere welcome toward the delegation of the Luis Palau Association. Rev. Wu said that we met on such a blessed, sunny day and that our beautiful friendship and interactions over the past years aligned with the communion of saints as mentioned in the Bible. Rev. Wu then introduced the development of the Church in China in the post-pandemic era, as well as the new challenges and practices in pastoral care. He mentioned the achievements in CCC&TSPM’s Bible publishing and literature ministry, and elaborated on the founding of the Three-Self Principles of the Church in China, the concepts and goals of the Chinanization of Christianity from a historical perspective. Rev. Wu expected that the two sides would continue friendly contact, do church work well in our own contexts, grow together in the Lord and bear good fruit.

On behalf of the delegation, Pastor Andrew Palau expressed gratitude to the warm reception and the long-term support from CCC&TSPM on various ministries. He said that they were concerned about the Church in China and hoped to learn about the challenges facing the Church in China and responsive measures after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the exchanges, it was found that both sides had similar challenges. So are the best wishes they had in the Lord. Pastor Andrew Palau also invited Rev. Wu Wei to visit the headquarters of the Luis Palau Association and preach sermons in American churches in the future.

The delegates also visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Grace Telling Bookshop. In the bookshop, they watched the new digital screen wall that displayed the publishing history and different versions of Chinese Bibles, and a small exhibition of Bibles in various versions. Rev. Xie Sheng, Vice Director of CCC&TSPM’s Church Ministry Department, and other colleagues participated in this reception.

It is said that the delegation would also visit seminaries and churches in Nanjing and Huai’an.
