On the morning of October 12, 2024, Guangdong CC&TSPM conducted an ordination ceremony at the Longdu Church in Zhongshan City. Three fellow workers were ordained as pastors, including Zheng Hui (female), Zheng Zhanchao, and Deng Degan. About 600 church members from churches and church-affiliated fellowships in Zhongshan City attended the ceremony.

Rev. Bao Minjun, Secretary General of Zhongshan TSPM, officiated the ceremony. As a prelude, the audience sang together The Church’s One Foundation. All church ministers in Zhongshan performed the hymn Be True, expressing their steadfast and fervent faith.

Rev. Guo Yun quoted Acts 20:28 and gave a sermon titled “Keep Watch over Yourself and All the Flock”, emphasizing the importance of self-education, self-management, self-discipline and humility as the examples for believers.

Afterwards, Rev. Fan Hong’en hosted the ordination. Rev. Chen Wenyuan introduced the three fellow workers. Rev. Fan conducted the laying on of hands. Rev. Wang Jun presented the new pastors with stoles and Bibles. Rev. Lei Yuming encouraged the newly-ordained to follow the steps of Jesus, serve God wholeheartedly, and become faithful servants and workers of the age. It is also necessary to live out a life that can pass on the love of God, bear witness to Biblical truth and serve as workers who do not need to be ashamed.

On behalf of the new ministers, Rev. Zheng Hui gave a speech, expressing the will to imitate the predecessors who had faithfully served the Lord and to shepherd believers to love the country and love the church, obey the law and comply to regulations.

The ordination ceremony was rounded off in the benediction given by Rev. Deng Degan.
