To actively respond to the call of CCC&TSPM and to practice faith through serving society, Tianjin CC&TSPM held the Christianity Charity Day event and donation ceremony on October 18, 2025. The activity, under the theme of “Rooted in Love, While Bearing Merciful Fruit”, integrated biblical truths with the spirit of benevolence derived from the excellent traditional Chinese culture, vividly showcasing the Christianity community’s commitment to social service and love.

Rev. Mao Yajun, Chairperson of Tianjin TSPM, presided over the donation ceremony. Rev. Mao quoted the verses “bearing fruit in every good work” from Colossians and “let us love not with words or speech but with actions and in truth” from 1 John, stressing that faith must be put into actions. This teaching resonates deeply with the Confucian ideal of benevolence that “one who wants to establish themselves needs to help others establish themselves”, as expressed in the Analects of Confucius. It calls upon us to transform our faith into good deeds, spreading God’s love through charitable practices to demonstrate the efforts of the Chinanization of Christianity in the field of charity.

Upholding the biblical teaching of “loving your neighbor as yourself”, Tianjin CC&TSPM demonstrated care for the disadvantaged. Donations were made to Xilonghuyu Town, Jizhou District, embodying the theme “Rooted in Love, While Bearing Merciful Fruit” through concrete actions. The secretary of the Party Committee for the Xilonghuyu Town represented the recipients and expressed sincere gratitude to Tianjin CC&TSPM.
