On the morning of April 22, 2026, Mr. Bryan Tay, Asian President of Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM), led a two-member delegation to visit CCC&TSPM. Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Chairperson of National TSPM, Resident Vice Chairperson Rev. Shan Weixiang, together with other colleagues received the delegation.
Rev. Xu warmly welcomed the delegation and reviewed the friendly interactions between the Church in China and the LHM over the years. He highlighted that the “all weather” partnership between the two sides that remained unchanged despite the changes in the international context is highly valuable, and the Church in China greatly cherishes the friendship between each other. Afterward, Rev. Xu introduced the ongoing ministries including the Chinanization of Christianity and the law-based church governance in a strict manner.
Rev. Shan then presented the ministries in media and social services, and expressed appreciation for the LHM’s support for the Church in China.
As his first visit to CCC&TSPM, Mr. Bryan Tay briefly introduced himself and outlined the institutional reforms of the LHM in the Asian region. This Asian president of LHM also expressed expectation for future communication and cooperation with the Church in China.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral. In the afternoon, Rev. Shan Weixiang accompanied the delegation to the Aiji Printing Press, where he introduced its history and development.
