Elder Ji Jianhong, Member of the tenth Standing committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Seventh National Committee of Three-self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China, Former Director of the Consultative Committee of China Christian Council and National Committee of Three-self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China, Former Vice President of China Committee on Religion and Peace, Former Executive Vice President of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, and Former Member of the Board of the Amity Foundation, rest in the Lord  in Nanjing at 6:49 a.m. on May 30, 2019, aged 87.

Elder Ji Jianhong with his whole life loved the country and loved the church, upheld the Three-self patriotic banner, actively promoted the reconstruction of theological thinking, adhered to the path of the indigenization and contextualization of Christianity in China. He served with passion, devoted himself with willingness, and made tremendous contributions to the unity as well as the health and harmonious development of the church in China.

In the deep remembrance of Elder Ji Jianhong, the farewell ceremony is to be conducted in Fraternity Hall, Nanjing Funeral Home (No. 206, Dazhou Road, Yuhuatai District) at 8:30 a.m., June 3, 2019.
