On October 22, 2025, Shandong Theological Seminary held its 2025 autumn sports meeting. It was attended by around 200 people, including Rev. Dong Meiqin, Director of Shandong TSPM and President of the seminary, along with the leadership, students and faculty members of the seminary. Rev. Wang Mengkun, Vice President of the seminary, moderated the opening ceremony.
Rev. Dong Meiqin encouraged all students and faculty members to strengthen their physical fitness and cultivate teamwork to demonstrate the spirit of collectivism. She hoped that the students could embody the Olympic spirits of “faster, higher, stronger -- together” during the events, showcasing the positive spirit of theologians in the new era.
The sports meeting featured group games such as “crossing the river by touching stones”, jianzi kicking, group rope skipping, “ball squeeze race”, “march forward together”, “you pull and I jump”, and so forth. These games not only helped train physical bodies, but also deepened friendships and stimulate class cohesion.
On October 29, Guangdong Union Theological Seminary held the “Meeting in Races and Bone in Love” 2025 autumn sports meeting.
The event included a variety of games, combining both traditional events that require speed and strength, such as mixed-gender relay races, basketball, and badminton, with fun group games to ignite teamwork spirit, such as tug-of-war, rope skipping, dodgeball, “speeding skaters”, and etc.
At the closing ceremony, senior staff of the seminary awarded prizes to the winning groups and individuals, praising the excellent performance of the athletes and the active participation of all students and faculty members. They encouraged everyone to integrate the spirit of competition into their studies and service, enabling them to overcome future life challenges through the Lord, to glorify God and benefit people. Finally, Rev. Cai Bosheng, President of the seminary, offered a prayer and benediction to the audience.
