On April 4, 2019, National TSPM Chairman Rev. Xu Xiaohong received Rev. Philip L. Wickeri at the headquarters of CCC&TSPM. Rev. Wickeri, an old friend of the church in China, is currently the advisor to the Archbishop on Theological and Historical Studies in the Anglican Province of Hong Kong.

Rev. Xu Xiaohong extended welcome to Rev. Philip L. Wickeri, and introduced the indigenization and contextualization of Christianity in China and the church in China’s participation in social construction through carrying out social services.

Rev. Philip L. Wickeri said that he was glad to visit CCC&TSPM again, meet with old friends and know more about the church in China through communication.

The two sides then exchanged ideas on the topics of the indigenization and contextualization of Christianity in China, renewal of theological thinking, etc.
