At 9 a.m., July 3, 2020, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary held 2020 graduation ceremony in its auditorium. During the outbreak, every attendee was asked to measure temperature, wear a mask, and be seated orderly with the guiding of the staff.

Executive Vice President Rev. Chen Yilu cited verses from Luke 24:13-35 and gave a sermon with the title of “March Ahead with Hope”. He said that the company of the Lord is with each and every disciple throughout their entire journey, from hearing the calling of God to coming to serve. For the future pastors, companionship is essential to them in their lives, study and serving. So in the near future, it is necessary to learn to be the light and the salt in the life of others as their good companions, to honor God and benefit people.

Afterwards, Rev. Chen Yilu announced the list of the 2020 graduates. Among all 129 graduates, 106 obtained bachelor degree (102 with bachelor of Divinity degree), and 23 obtained master of  Divinity degree with graduation certificates. They then sang Goodbye, Alma Mater together, expressing the gratitude toward the grace of the Lord, the teaching of their mentors, as well as the friendship of their schoolmates.

Finally, President Rev. Gao Feng performed the liturgy of commissioning for the graduates and gave blessings to the audience.
