On the morning of September 9, 2024, a Dallas Delegation of eleven from the U.S. visited CCC&TSPM. Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Chairperson of National TSPM and Rev. Shan Weixiang, Presiding Vice Chairperson of National TSPM, and other colleagues warmly received the guests. Rev. Dr. Lin Manhong, Vice President and General Secretary of CCC, moderated the meeting.
In his speech, Rev. Xu Xiaohong expressed gratitude for the great support from the Bible Study Fellowship and the Dallas Theological Seminary during the Bible exhibition held in Dallas, US. Rev. Xu introduced to the guests the basic situation and the Chinanization of Christianity of the Church in China. Rev. Xu expected that delegation could be a messenger to tell the real stories of the Church in China when they returned back to the U.S., and that the two sides could build a bridge for mutual communication and praying for each other, so as to facilitate mutual understanding and cooperation. Rev. Xu also refuted the rumour that the Chinese authorities were going to publish a new Bible.
Mr. John Chen from the Bible Study Fellowship gave thanks to the leaders of CCC&TSPM for meeting the delegation despite their busy schedule, and expressed hope to share what they had seen and heard in China with American friends and to build a bridge between churches in China and U.S.
Holli Roberts, Executive Director of Bible Study Fellowship, Prof. Chip Dickens from Dallas Theological Seminary and Tom Hayes, Chief International Officer of Insight for Living Ministries respectively gave overviews of their organizations. They all expressed the willingness to enhance interaction and cooperation with the Church in China.
Rev. Shan Weixiang also welcomed the visit of the Dallas delegation and shared with them the latest changes and challenges of the Church in China.
