At 1:30 p.m. on October 18, 2024, Shanghai CC held an ordination ceremony. Around 300 pastoral staff and believers from churches in Shanghai witnessed this event.

During the ceremony, Rev. Yu Guangzhi, President of Shanghai CC, performed the laying on of hands after the 18 ordinands took the vows of ordination.

Zhuang Yunqiu (female), Song Chuchu, Xu Qingli (female), Geng Xiaomei (female), Lin Enchao, Xu Feixiang, Xu Wei, Zhu Weifeng (female), Feng Enbei (female), Zhai Jin, Deng Huaping (female), Chen Wei (female), and Tu Jingbo were ordained as pastors.

Liu Yanfei (female), Zhao Liangqin (female), Xi Ying (female), Pan Xiaobao (female), and Li Huaying (female) were ordained as elders.

Rev. Yu also presented the new ministers with stoles and Bibles. The ordination ceremony ended with the benediction given by the newly-ordained. Believers gave flowers to the new pastors and elders.

The ceremony was followed by a welcoming meeting for the new ministers. Rev. Xu Yulan, Chairperson of Shanghai TSPM, extended congratulatory remarks, encouraging the newly-ordained to follow the call of God and treasure their sacred duties.

Rev. Yu reminded them of having a humble heart, but not looking down upon themselves,  endeavoring to pursue their growth in faith, love and knowledge, and living as an example for the people.
