On the evening of December 24, 2025, Henan Theological Seminary held the “Joy to the World, Glory Descends” Christmas Eve Gala at its Internship Chapel. All students, faculty, and guests gathered to participated in this festive celebration.

The gala opened with a chorus performed by fourth-year students. Rev. Sun Hongshe, Academic Dean of the seminary, then presided over the opening ceremony. Vice President Rev. Hu Junjie led the prayer. President of the Seminary Rev. Tang Weimin delivered a speech, expressing gratitude for God’s guidance. Rev. Tang also reviewed the seminary’s achievements over the past year and offered Christmas blessings to the congregation.

The gala consisted of four chapters, featuring performances in various forms, including singing, dancing, recitation, instrumental music. In the first chapter, “Joy to the World, the Savior Is Born”, an opening dance “A Joyful Gathering” performed by second-year students, enlivened the atmosphere. This was followed by a chorus from first-year students and a recitation from third-year students.

The second chapter, “The Light of Life, Grace Flows”, included dances, choral singing, and instrumental music, showcasing a variety of art forms.

The third chapter, “A Returning Heart, Glory Reveals”, began with the dance “Blessings to You”, followed by performances conveying sentiments of love.

Finally, the evening gala concluded with a Chinese folk music orchestra performance as the final chapter, “Amazing Grace, Abundant in Comfort”.
