On the morning of March 2, 2026, Guangdong Union Theological Seminary held the opening ceremony for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year in its lecture hall.
Officiated by Rev. Pei Lianshan, Director of the seminary’s Teaching and Research Office, the ceremony opened with melodious hymns of praise.
Rev. Xue Hai’an, the seminary’s librarian, led the opening prayer, and Zhang Jiu, Director of Student Affairs, read from the Scripture.
Rev. Huang Tianhua, Director of the Center for the Chinanization of Christianity, delivered a sermon titled “Living a Life Adaptable to Change”. Drawing on the development of the times and the practice of faith, Rev. Huang encouraged faculty and students to face change with humility, remain committed to the direction of the Chinanization of Christianity, integrate the practice of faith into social development, actively serve the community, glorify God and benefit others, and contribute to the building up of the church in the new era.
The ceremony concluded with a benediction offered by Rev. Lu Enjie, Director of the Administrative Office.
