Among the 14 members in the delegation, there were some old friends, and also some new friends who came to visit CCC & TSPM for the first time. Their occupation went variously, such as the honorary professor from Edinburgh University, the honorary professor of institute of systematic theology from Bern University in Switzerland.

Mr Gu Mengfei said, “CCC & TSPM regards UBS as a long-term partner. The cooperation between both sides goes smoothly all the time, as well as the mutual encouragement and prayer.” After introducing the history of Christianity entering China, Mr. Gu Mengfei emphasized that Church in China always adhere to the Three-self Principles to offer services for running churches, uniting denominations and worships. He hoped that the delegation member could understand the Christianity in China more deeply through the communication with brothers and sisters inside the church and with the Christian experts and scholars during the symposium from this visit.

Bishop John Chew emphasized in his response that we were in one family although the delegation members came from different parts of the world and had various backgrounds and fields. He gave thanks to all the CCC & TSPM colleagues who introduced the most essential part in the development of the Church in China which made them experience the essence of “Zhong Guo Hua” (Christianity in China conforms with Chinese culture and tradition).
