During the Chinese Christian delegation’s visit to Hong Kong, the CCC&TSPM leaders met with the Chinese mainland students dispatched to study in Hong Kong, extending greetings to them on the afternoon of May 21, 2023.

On December 21, 2022, the 3rd International Seminar on Religions and Ecological Civilization was successfully convened online. The seminar, under the theme of “Harmony between Human and Nature”, was jointly organized by the China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP) and the Religions for Peace (RfP-International). Rev. Xu Xiaohong and Rev. Wu Wei, vice chairperson of CCRP, Rev. Gu Mengfei, vice secretary general of CCRP, and Rev. Lin Manhong, CCRP member, were invited to attend the seminar.

On December 12, 2022, the Holy Trinity Cathedral (HTC) conducted an opening ceremony. Mr. Gu Mengfei, secretary general of National TSPM and director of the HTC’s church management committee, moderated the ceremony. The nameplate of the HTC was unveiled and the registration certificate for religious venue was issued at the ceremony.

On November 29-30, 2022, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary celebrated the 70th anniversary of its founding in Nanjing. Attendees included leaders of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, Jiangsu provincial government, Nanjing municipal government, and CCC&TSPM, as well as Board members and alumni representatives of NJUTS. Representatives of seminaries across China and guests from home and abroad also bore witness to this event.

From August 29 to 31, 2022, a meeting was held in Shanghai to review the manuscripts of a hymnal, temporarily named The New Hymnal with Chinese Rhymes (hua yun xin ge). The meeting aimed to further indigenize sacred music in the Chinese context, encourage Chinese pastors and believers to compose more and better hymns, as well as collect and sort out sacred music with ethnic features.

Bible Day 2021, with a theme of “Rhymes and Verses: Singing the Word out with Chinese Rhythms”, was hosted by CCC&TSPM, and organized by Fujian CC&TSPM and Fujian Theological Seminary in the seminary on December 12, 2021.
