At 10 a.m. on April 4, 2020, CCC&TSPM flew the national flag at half-mast and changed its website to black and white to mourn all the lives lost in the fight against COVID-19. Churches and Zhongnan Theological Seminary in Wuhan, as well as churches and seminaries across the country, also flew the flags at half-mast to lament the lost lives caused by the pandemic.

In the battle of the COVID-19 prevention and control, a large number of volunteers have been committed to working together with local communities in building a forefront protective wall to defend the virus.

On February 11, with the help of the Amity Foundation, protective masks and air respiratory equipment donated by CCC&TSPM were sent from Nanjing City to Jingzhou City and Xiaogan City, Hubei Province.

The novel coronavirus outbreak that occurred early before the Chinese New Year 2020 is worrying the hearts of hundreds of millions. Highly concerned of this pandemic, CCC&TSPM established a leadership team for disease prevention and control. On January 24, it notified CC&TSPMs, churches and church-affiliated fellowships all around the country to work with local authorities, take responsive measures, and call upon Christians to actively shoulder social responsibilities.

From December 7th to 8th, 2019, CCC&TSPM conducted series of activities themed “The Day of Bible” in Hangzhou Chongyi Church. The activities included “The Word of God Endures” Bible hand-copying by a hundred people, a symposium of commemorating the Day of Bible, a themed Sunday service, an award ceremony for hand-copying Bible, etc. Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president & general secretary of CCC and several commissioners of CCC&TSPM’s Bible Ministry Commission attended the activities.

On November 11, 2019, Amity conducted its celebration of publishing the 200 millionth Bible in Nanjing. Over 200 people including leaders and staff members of CCC&TSPM, along with guests from home and abroad made the appearance.

From October 14 to 20, 2019, a six-person delegation from CCC&TSPM led by Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president and general secretary of China Christian Council (CCC) visited the United States and attended a two-day board meeting of the Foundation for Theological Education in Southeast Asia (FTESEA).

From September 6 to 8, 2019, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of National TSPM and Mr. Gu Mengfei, secretary general of National TSPM were invited to attend the “CUV Centennial Commemoration and Symposium on Ancient Civilization and New Culture”, jointly hosted by NCCS-Chinese Church Committee and Trinity Theological College.

On September 23, 2019, the Second Joint Meeting of the Standing Committee of CCC&TSPM was held in Shanghai.

On September 23, 2019, CCC&TSPM organized series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
