From April 10 to 11, 2025, Zhejiang Theological Seminary held its annual spring athletic meeting.

The opening ceremony took place on the morning of April 10. Rev. Pan Xingwang, the president of the seminary, delivered an address. Rev. Pan stated that the event was a feast of passion and glory, encouraging all participants to demonstrate the athletic spirit and achieve great results. Afterwards, Rev. Lou Shibo, the vice president, led a prayer, and Rev. Huang Yousai, the seminary’s chief librarian and the chief judge for this event, gave a speech. Lastly, Rev. Zheng Rongda, assistant to the president and director of the Student Affairs, announced the beginning of the 2025 spring athletic meeting.

Meticulously planned by the Student Union, the sports event was comprised of 27 games in three categories. The group games were hoop toss, long rope skipping, rug of war, group basketball shooting, and half-court basketball game; skill games featured ping-pong, badminton, rope skipping, and shuttlecock kicking; intellectual games consisted of five in a row, Chinese chess, Chinese checkers, etc..

The closing ceremony was held on the afternoon of April 11. Rev. Pan Xingwang, Rev. Lou Shibo, and Rev. Zheng Rongda conferred medals and certificates upon the athletes.

The event not only allowed students to enhance their physical fitness and team cohesion, but also embodied the seminary’s motto of “pureness, faithfulness, reconciliation, and joy”. The participants demonstrated the spirits of fellowship in love, service in love, and reconciliation in love, which reflected the educational philosophy of the seminary’s connotative development.
